Maryam Dehghardi, a journalist and member of the editorial board of IranWire, said that a new notice from the Ministry of Intelligence has been issued in continuation of the crackdown on the student movement and the pressure on students to accept compulsory hijabs.

She added that after the uprising of 1401, the atmosphere on university campuses has become more security-oriented, and students have faced frame-ups, disciplinary rulings, expulsion, and exclusion from education.

Dehghardi said that the confirmation of the rulings of some students, along with recent arrests and suspensions, carries a threatening message from the judiciary and security institutions to the student body; a message, according to her, whose goal is to push back students and weaken the student movement.
