Mahan Mardanī, a 23-year-old futsal player and goalkeeper of Shahrood University’s futsal team, was killed by Islamic Republic crackdown forces during the protests in late Dey 1404 in Qods (Tehran).

Mardanī was a top student and a cat lover, and he believed that “even if one of us remains, it is his duty to tell the story.”

Mardanī died on the morning of 20 Dey 1404, due to bleeding caused by two gunshots striking the bone of his thigh, at Fayyazbakhsh Hospital in Tehran.
