🔻The London Times reported that UEFA, after receiving assurances that the plan to sell World Cup shares would not be raised again, intends to withdraw its threat to boycott FIFA competitions; however, the organization intends to step up actions against Gianni Infantino because of this plan.

🔹Fifty-five European countries had agreed to boycott FIFA competitions after the Times last month revealed Infantino’s proposal, the FIFA president, to sell shares in these competitions.

🔹UEFA executives on Thursday, at a meeting of the organization’s Executive Committee and the majority of the presidents of the 55 member federations in Monaco, will announce that the two conditions set for lifting the boycott have been met.

🔹The first condition was for FIFA to withdraw its proposal to sell shares in major competitions, which was carried out at the end of July. The second condition was that “assurances be given that such attempts to undermine football in this way will never be carried out again.”

🔹Teams, including England, are expected to travel to Poland on Monday to take part in the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup. England will also play a friendly match against New Caledonia at St George’s Park on Saturday.
