Keyvan Saaket, renowned tar and setar composer and musician, on Thursday, Mehr 23, honored Ali Sina Mostafavi, the anti-execution protester who was executed, and one of his students, by sharing a video of a performance of the piece “Alas” on the tar in his Instagram story.

Ali Sina Mostafavi, a mountaineer, Himalaya mountaineer, and 38-year-old tar player from Bam, was one of Keyvan Saaket’s students in the playing of this instrument.

Mostafavi was executed on the morning of Wednesday, Mehr 22, 1405, in Kerman Central Prison, by the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
