Donald Trump, President of the United States, announced that extensive exploration of oil, gas, and minerals in Greenland will begin soon. He wrote on the Truth Social network that the island’s oil reserves are more available than in many regions of the world.

Emphasizing the “strategic importance of Greenland,” Trump wrote that this island has a unique position for the United States and Europe in terms of defense and security.

The U.S. president also wrote that any future attack on the United States must pass through Greenland, and the island’s geographic position makes it possible to identify and track drones, missiles, or any other type of weapon.
