The Jerusalem Post reported on Thursday, 23 Mehr, that Ofir Falk, a foreign policy adviser to Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said that Israel has come very close to creating the conditions necessary for a change of government in Iran. He emphasized that the future of Iran rests with the people of that country.

In an interview with The Jerusalem Post, Falk said: “I think we have come very close to creating these conditions. These conditions are forming right now.”

In his conversation with Zvika Klein, the editor of The Jerusalem Post, and Amikay Stein, the paper’s diplomatic correspondent, he said that Israel’s actions are creating conditions that allow Iranians to challenge their government.

Falk said: “A change of government in Iran depends on the Iranian people.”

He described the economic siege of Iran led by the United States as successful, but said that economic pressure will need time to yield results. Falk also stated that the war has severely weakened Iran and its proxy forces in the region.
