Jessica Meir, a NASA astronaut, shared images of the August 21 solar eclipse from the International Space Station.

According to Meir, due to the position of the space station at the time of the total solar eclipse, astronauts observed a partial eclipse from there, which at its peak covered about 18 percent of the Sun’s surface. The image was captured from the window of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.
