🔸In a conversation with Masoud Pezeshkian, Sanae Takai (as stated in the source) emphasized that Iran and the United States must continue their negotiations on the basis of the previous memorandum of understanding and, at the earliest opportunity, reach a final and comprehensive agreement—one that also includes the nuclear issue, among other things.

🔸The President of Iran also said in this phone call that Tehran “is fully committed to international laws and obligations and has, in no way, violated them.”

🔸In another part of the conversation, Japan’s Prime Minister called for resolving the case of a citizen of his country who, during the Iran–U.S. war, had been held in Iran for more than two and a half months in detention and, after being released, was not allowed to leave Iran and return to Japan.
