Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Blair House in Washington and met with Tom Cotton, an American senator, discussing Israeli-U.S. relations.

During the meeting, Netanyahu thanked Cotton for his support for Israel and the alliance between the two countries, saying: “I know that you are one of the biggest supporters of the alliance between Israel and the United States; an alliance that strengthens the security of both our countries.”

Cotton also described Israel as one of America’s most important allies, saying: “Israel has proven that it has been the best ally we’ve had since Britain in World War II.”

He also pointed to the war against the Islamic Republic, adding that Israel has fought side by side with the United States against what he called the “common enemy, Iran” and what he called “extremist terrorism.”

Cotton also emphasized that he will continue supporting the alliance between the United States and Israel, because, according to him, this cooperation increases the security of both countries.
