🔻Israeli media, citing Israel’s internal security agency Shin Bet, has written that this intelligence body has confirmed the existence of a “significant threat” against Yair Netanyahu, the son of Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, which led him, along with his security team, to be transferred immediately from the United States to Israel.

According to these reports, Shin Bet said in a statement: “There really was a significant threat to harm Yair Netanyahu, and following an assessment of the situation, it was decided to transfer him immediately to Israel together with his security team.”

The confirmation was published after reports circulated about Yair Netanyahu’s urgent trip from Florida to Israel. Based on these reports, Israel’s intelligence services had been made aware of a threat against him, but Shin Bet did not provide any details about the nature of this threat or its perpetrator.

A few days earlier, Benjamin Netanyahu had claimed that Iran had tried to assassinate one of his sons, but at the time he had not named him. Shin Bet’s confirmation now shows that he meant Yair Netanyahu.
