Israeli Channel 12 reported, in a report, that Hamas intends to transfer its behind-the-scenes and clandestine activities from Qatar to Turkey.

The outlet noted that a large portion of the group’s public activities will continue to remain in Qatar.

The reason for this decision is said to be a dispute over the selection of Khalil al-Hayya as the new leader of Hamas, and for this reason Qatar has asked them to obtain approvals from the country’s officials for all of their official activities in Doha.

The United States, Israel, and some other countries have placed Hamas on the list of terrorist groups.
