Israel’s army said on Monday that it eliminated “Mohammad Khalil Mohammad Salem,” the commander of an elite unit in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, in the Khan Younis area in a precise airstrike.

According to a statement by the Israeli army, Salem, during the killing on October 7, commanded a group of terrorists who participated in the kidnapping of Israeli citizens. He also recently played a role in advancing terrorist plans against the army’s forces and Israeli citizens.

The Israeli army emphasized that its forces, under the command of the Southern Command, are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement, and will continue operating to eliminate any immediate threats.
