Ismail Kowsari, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, said in response to the U.S. and the European troika’s statement about preventing the transfer of nuclear materials and technologies to the Islamic Republic that his suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency was “because of the performance of this institution and its reports.”
Kowsari, in an interview with the House of Parliament News Agency, said: “Rafael Grossi and the Agency’s inspectors, by submitting false reports about the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear activities to the Board of Governors, provided the conditions for the United States to carry out its attack.”
He described the nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic as “legal” and “in accordance with the regulations of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty,” and said that the United States and European countries have “a double standard” toward the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.
Kowsari also said: “Any miscalculation or mistake in dealing with the Islamic Republic will be accompanied by far heavier and more destructive consequences for them than in the past.”
