Ruhollah Rahimpor, a journalist and political analyst, said that by referring to the increase in U.S. military forces in Israel, these moves show that the United States and Israel are seriously preparing for renewed conflict and, at the same time, are using this readiness as leverage in negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
He added that, given the unsuccessful trend and deadlock in the negotiations, the likelihood of conflict has increased, and the more limited the path of diplomacy becomes, the more the “doors of war” will be opened. According to Rahimpor, the main issue for the Islamic Republic if war begins is the level of its resilience, which, given the country’s economic situation, is “very low.”
