🔸The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, following the announcement by the U.S. Central Command that it denied the IRGC’s claim about the Strait of Hormuz being closed, issued another statement, while insisting on its previous claims, saying it attacked two other oil tankers and stopped them.

🔸In addition to this statement, published on Friday, the ninth of Mordad, the IRGC also released images of an oil tanker burning in the darkness amid flames, and announced its date as Friday.

🔸In the afternoon of Thursday, the third of Mordad, CENTCOM described three claims put forward by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and media close to it—about the Strait of Hormuz being closed, the destruction of three F-35 fighter jets, and an Iranian oil tanker passing through a U.S. naval blockade—as “false,” saying these claims do not match reality.

🔸CENTCOM also said that the movement of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz is not inherently dangerous, and that what threatens shipping security is “verbal threats and the IRGC’s attempts to attack those commercial ships and their non-military crews.”
