The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that it destroyed “three F-35 aircraft” in an attack on the al-Zarq base in Jordan.

In its statement, the IRGC claimed that on Thursday, the eighth of Mordad, it attacked the location where American F-35 fighter jets are based and the hangars for repairing them at the al-Zarq airbase with several ballistic missiles, “completely destroying three F-35 aircraft and inflicting severe damage on three other aircraft.”

The IRGC also claimed that in this attack, “several officers and technical and maintenance personnel” were killed.

These claims come as the Jordanian Armed Forces had previously announced that they had intercepted and destroyed five missiles fired by the Islamic Republic in the skies over this country.

On Thursday, the official Jordanian news agency, citing the armed forces of the country, emphasized that the interception actions were carried out with precision and had not resulted in any human casualties.

The IRGC added that the attack was in response to an attack on a target on Qeshm Island.

So far, the U.S. military has not made any comments on the matter.
