🔻Iraq’s Prime Minister’s Office announced that Iranian airlines, except Mahan Air, are allowed to conduct 40 daily round-trip flights to Najaf International Airport.
Flights by Iranian companies to Iraq had previously been halted due to pressure and U.S. sanctions. In recent days, Iraq had suspended flights by Iranian airlines to several airports, including Najaf, Baghdad, Erbil, and Sulaimaniyah.
The United States then issued a temporary waiver from sanctions to resume limited flights between Iran and Najaf. Baghdad also said it had announced measures to inspect passengers and prevent the transfer of weapons, sanctioned individuals, or illegal money.
