🔸Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, says Tehran has not yet made a decision to resume negotiations with the United States, and that messages exchanged between the two sides via Qatar and Pakistan do not mean the start of talks.
🔸Mr. Araghchi said this on Saturday, 24 Mordad, in an interview with “Shahraranews”.
🔸The Iranian foreign minister added that separate negotiations between Iran and Oman are also only related to determining the maritime route for ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and that resuming passage through this waterway depends on conditions that the United States must be committed to.
🔸In the interview, the Iranian foreign minister said: “No negotiations are currently taking place between us and America,” adding that Qatar and Pakistan are in contact with the parties and are passing on messages, “but this does not mean negotiations.”
🔸He emphasized: “A decision to restart negotiations with the United States has not yet been made.”
