🔻Iran’s judiciary announced that it executed Etemad Behzad and Pouya Safot this morning for spying for Israel during the “12-Day War” and the “40-Day War.”

Mizan, the judiciary apparatus’s media outlet of the Islamic Republic, wrote that these two people were sending “coordinates, images, and information from military and security centers to Mossad officers and communication channels affiliated with this intelligence service.”

Activists, human rights organizations, and attorneys for the legal profession have repeatedly warned about the execution of death sentences in Iran, saying that the rapid execution of detainees without going through the usual judicial process, the use of forced confessions to issue a verdict, and the lack of access to a lawyer have led to the violation of defendants’ rights in such cases.
