Iran-backed Houthis have once again warned airlines and passengers about the use of Saudi airports and airspace, and said that these areas, with the exception of Mecca and Medina, are targets of attack.

On Sunday, 19 Mehr, the Houthis urged airlines, airport personnel, and passengers to take the warning seriously.

Yahya Saree, a spokesperson for the Houthis, also held Saudi Arabia responsible for the consequences of attempts to unsuccessfully intercept the attacks.

Saree added that the group will continue to implement its declared equation—“airport against airport, blockade against blockade, and escalation of tension in response to escalation”—until it achieves its goals.
