🔶 In the war with Iran, 81 American aircraft have been lost or damaged

Based on a report released this week by a research service of the U.S. Congress, during the war with Iran, 81 aircraft of the United States military have either been lost or have suffered damage.

These figures include U.S. military aircraft, helicopters, and drones.

According to this report, MQ-9 Reaper drones account for more than half of the cases of damage. These drones are used for intelligence missions, reconnaissance, surveillance, close air support, and combat search and rescue operations. In the list released, some of the most important air assets of the U.S. Department of Defense are also visible.

Among these are an F-35A fighter jet and an E-3 Sentry aircraft; a four-engine aircraft with a large radar dome on its body, used to track targets and manage airspace.

The E-3 Sentry is considered one of the key assets of the United States in air operations.

The Congressional Research Service report, citing figures from the Congressional Budget Office, says the value of the lost or damaged aircraft is estimated to be between $1.9 and $3.3 billion.
