🔸IRGC denies Trump’s claim about oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz

Ali Mohammadi, political deputy of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), denied recent remarks by Donald Trump claiming that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz and that oil tankers pass through it freely. Mohammadi called these claims “contrary to field realities and inconsistent with the reaction of global oil markets.”

Referring to Trump’s statements about the daily transit of 5 to 8 million barrels of oil through this strategic waterway, Mohammadi said: “If what the American president has said is true, he should clarify which route and which strait these ships have passed through. The reaction of the oil market shows that Washington’s claim does not match the realities on the ground.”

The political deputy of the IRGC Navy also questioned the U.S. fleet’s control over the region and added: “If America claims to destroy Iran’s navy and control the region, why has it deployed its forces at a distance of 600 to 700 kilometers and not moved close to the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman?”
