🔻In the latest case of the economic pressures of the United States on Iran, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced that it has taken action to prevent Egyptian bank branches from carrying out dollar transactions in the United Arab Emirates; an action that, according to the ministry, was taken due to the bank’s dealings with Iran.
At the same time as these pressures, the Iranian government has emphasized that it will continue to counter U.S. sanctions and what it calls “the plots of America and Israel” and, at the same time, to protect the country’s interests, will rely on its diplomacy and defensive capability.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also said in a statement that the restrictions imposed on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz will continue until the end of the U.S. military operations against Iran and the fulfillment of the related commitments.
