Ibrahim Azizi, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, said that this commission on Sunday, 25 Mordad, approved a provision of a bill known as the “Tangseiri” law that bans the movement of vessels belonging to Israel or carrying cargoes of this country to or from Israel’s destination in the Persian Gulf.
This resolution is one of the provisions of the bill titled “Strategic Measure for Ensuring Security and Sustainable Progress of the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf,” and does not mean final approval of this bill.
Azizi said that the implementation of this ban depends on the final approval of the bill and its confirmation in the relevant authorities of the Islamic Republic. According to him, if these steps are taken, Israeli vessels will not be allowed to be present in, pass through, or navigate the Persian Gulf.
