Alireza Namvar Haqiqi, a political analyst, said that disagreement between supporters and opponents of negotiations with the United States in the Islamic Republic goes back to two different views about the future of foreign policy. According to him, opponents of negotiations want to put the Pezeshkian administration in a more difficult position, but supporters believe that continuing confrontation with the United States does not offer a clear prospect and that resolving economic crises depends on changing the course of foreign policy.
Disagreement over relations with the United States and Israel, the nuclear program, proxy forces, and the Strait of Hormuz are also among the strategic issues in this dispute.
