🔶 Hrana filed a complaint in Germany, calling for an investigation into crimes against humanity in Iran
Hrana, the news outlet of a set of human rights activists in Iran, reported in a special report that a criminal complaint has been filed in Germany to investigate cases of crimes against humanity in Iran.
Hrana wrote in a report published on Thursday, 12 Shahrivar (September 3): «In recent days, the group of human rights activists in Iran, with legal support from the organization Uprights and with the participation of German lawyers, submitted a criminal complaint to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office of Germany and requested the initiation of a structural investigation into the likely commission of crimes against humanity by officials of the Iranian government, under Article 7 of the German Code of Crimes against International Law.»
This 109-page complaint is based on more than 60 interviews with victims, witnesses, and family members inside Iran, Turkey, and various countries in Europe and North America, along with an extensive body of documentary and digital evidence.
