📸 Houthis deny drone attack on the Makkah area

Houthis, Yemen’s Houthi militias, denied the allegation of a drone attack on areas around Makkah.

Earlier, a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia said it intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by the Houthi militias in Yemen in the Makkah area.

Yahya al-Sari‘, the Houthi military spokesman, said on the X social media platform that the group is currently carrying out no operations against Saudi Arabia’s territory.

According to him, attacks on Saudi Arabia generally target oil facilities and military bases.

The Houthis, who are supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran, have previously carried out attacks on Saudi Arabia’s military facilities, airports, and energy infrastructure.

The group has repeatedly denied allegations of targeting Makkah and Medina.
