Hope Mardarchitecturean, a political analyst, said Donald Trump’s remarks about it being easier to negotiate with Vladimir Putin than with Volodymyr Zelensky indicate a change in the United States’ approach to end the war in Ukraine.

According to him, while the earlier goal was to increase economic pressure on Russia in order to force Moscow to negotiate, now the pressures are more directed at Ukraine to accept the conditions Washington wants.
