CENTCOM, rejecting the claim by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that it controls the Strait of Hormuz, said that over the past 24 hours, more than 40 ships have transited through the strait.

In a statement published at the same time on the U.S. State Department’s Persian-language page on the social network X, it adds that the United States and its regional partners have control of the Strait of Hormuz, and commercial vessels continue to pass through the strait despite the Guards’ aggressive and unwarranted actions.

The U.S. State Department further stated that the passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz continues and that the main shipping routes in this strait remain free of mines.
