🔻 The head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization said that it has filed an official complaint with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in response to restrictions affecting Iran’s aviation industry.

Abuzar Shiroudi told IRNA that in this official protest “Iran’s documentation of its اعتراض (objection) to interference with the flight process has been clearly explained.”

He also said that “attacks on airports, aircraft, and radars are, under international norms and laws, a clear instance of war crimes,” adding that Iran has filed a parallel complaint in this regard with the Hague court.

Since last week, after the United States imposed sanctions on Iranian airlines, various airports in different countries have canceled flights operated by Iranian companies.
