Flash floods on Wednesday in the Nepal–China border area left at least 98 people dead and hundreds of tourists, workers and other citizens are missing.

Nepal’s prime minister’s office said there were at least 95 deaths, and China’s CCTV network reported that landslides in Gyirong County in the Tibet region left at least three dead and 265 missing.
