🔸Five days after videos were released showing a celebration and dancing on the sidelines of the sports events “Araz Cup” in Nowshahr, and after news broke about the arrival of the prosecutor’s office to look into the matter, the Judiciary’s news agency on Saturday published more details about the judicial follow-up.

🔸Mizan News Agency, citing Maziar Abdollahpur, the general and revolutionary prosecutor of Nowshahr, wrote that the ceremony was held on the shore next to the Araz hotel, after the closing ceremony and the awarding of prizes, with the presence of some of the athletes’ families.

🔸The Nowshahr prosecutor pointed to “possible negligence” by the supervisor and the officials in charge of holding the event, including regarding oversight and obtaining the necessary permits.

🔸The videos of the ceremony, which were shared on social media five days ago, showed a group of attendees celebrating and rejoicing. Mizan referred to these images using the phrases “breaking norms behavior” and “contrary to Islamic propriety.”
