The Financial Times, citing informed sources, reported that Ukraine is seeking permission to use drones equipped with Starlink to attack Russian ballistic missile launchers.

According to the report, Kyiv wants to employ these drones up to a depth of 200 kilometers into Russian territory. That range includes ballistic missile launch infrastructure, command and control centers, and logistics centers.

Carrying out this would require the approval of Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX, which operates Starlink.

Based on the Financial Times report, Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, during his late-Tir meeting at the White House, asked Donald Trump to speak with Musk about issuing this authorization, and Trump did not give a clear response.

The Financial Times sources said that, in their view, Musk would also not grant such authorization.
