Fars News Agency has reported the discovery of an unauthorized 900-meter oil pipeline in Bushehr province and said that the pipeline was transferring stolen oil to an underground storage tank.

According to Fars, the police commander of Bushehr province said: "A connection with a 42-inch pipe, 900 meters in length, and an underground tank for oil storage in Deyrty County of Bushehr province has been identified."

The local official told Fars that «so far, more than 50,000 liters of crude oil worth 50 billion rials, along with equipment» associated with this illegal pipeline has been seized.

The report does not mention the identity of any person or group involved in the construction and operation of this illegal pipeline, and it is unclear whether they have been identified and are under pursuit.
