Fadahatsein Maleki, a member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament, in an interview with KhabarOnline, said that he does not rule out the possibility that a nuclear attack by the United States on Iran could be carried out in a reckless manner.

Maleki said: “I don’t think Trump has the nerve to do such a thing, because such an action could drag the world into a dangerous war.”

The member of the National Security Commission of the Parliament added that if the United States takes action, the Islamic Republic will use its own options to respond. He also said: “Tehran is no longer only in a defensive posture and has moved into the stage of active and offensive deterrence.”

Maleki went on to say that whatever weapon the United States uses, “the Islamic Republic will respond proportionally according to the type of that weapon.”
