🔻European Union condemns attack by Israeli settlers on European diplomats in the West Bank

The European Union strongly condemned yesterday’s attack by a group of Israeli settlers on European diplomats in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the EU’s “External Action Service” wrote: “The European Union strongly condemns the recent attacks by violent settlers in the West Bank, including the attack on European diplomats.”

The statement stressed the need to hold those responsible for violence accountable and to prevent further attacks and harassment of Palestinians and journalists, especially during the olive harvest season.

At the end of the statement it says: “We ask Israel to fully respect international law and human rights and to stop settlement activity.”
