The Israeli Foreign Ministry, citing the coordinator of Israeli government activity in the Palestinian territories, said that Hamas is demanding from Gaza businessmen “10,000 shekels” for each truck and is threatening people who refuse to pay this amount.

According to the report, the son of one of the detained businessmen was arrested, and the businessmen, out of fear, have stopped coordinating for the entry of trucks.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry added that Hamas, to finance its operations, disrupts the process of supplying goods in Gaza.
