🔻Erdogan to bin Salman: Turkey stands alongside Saudi Arabia against the Houthis

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, said on Tuesday in a telephone call with Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, that Turkey will stand by Saudi Arabia amid attacks by the Houthi militia in Yemen.

According to a statement from the Turkish presidency, during this telephone call, Mr. Erdoğan condemned the Houthi attacks in the strongest terms and told the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia that “this challenge will be overcome.”

Turkey, which is a member of NATO, and Pakistan, a nuclear power, signed a joint defense pact in August under which an attack on one of the parties is considered an attack on all of them.
