🔻Elon Musk says Tesla will gradually stop producing its expensive electric Cybertruck and pickup this company’s huge plant in the state of Texas starting next year.

He did not specify clearly whether Tesla intends to fully stop production of this vehicle or move it to another factory. Musk said the decision was taken with the aim of “creating more capacity” to produce a greater number of its autonomous taxis, the “Cybercabs.”

However, Wes Mooril, the senior engineer of the Cybertruck project, commented on this decision in a way that suggested production of this vehicle is going to be halted. He wrote on the social media platform X: “The Cybertruck was an incredible platform for developing technology, and this path will continue through the Cybercab.”

The Cybertruck, Tesla’s expensive electric pickup, gained many fans thanks to its sharp-angled design, a stainless-steel body, and its distinctive look, and it was finally put on the market about three years ago after multiple delays, but its sales were lower than expected.
