🔸Egypt’s bank said on Saturday that it is reviewing a notice from the U.S. Treasury Department regarding limiting dollar correspondent services of American financial institutions to the branch of this bank in the United Arab Emirates.

🔸In a statement, the bank added that its branch in the UAE continues to provide banking services to customers in accordance with current regulations and procedures.

🔸The U.S. Treasury Department had said on Friday that, due to transactions by the Egyptian bank’s branches in the UAE with Iran, it has begun steps to cut off these branches’ access to dollar transactions.
