Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, met with John Ratcliffe, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States, and called for reaching a comprehensive agreement to end the crisis related to the Islamic Republic, restore stability in the region, and ensure freedom of international navigation.

El-Sisi stressed that Egypt supports efforts to reach a comprehensive agreement while also emphasizing the preservation of the security and sovereignty of Arab countries and opposition to any attack against them.

He said that regional crises must be resolved through political and diplomatic channels by addressing their root causes, and that the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and institutions of the countries of the region must be preserved.

According to a statement by the Egyptian presidential office, Ratcliffe also conveyed a message from Donald Trump, the President of the United States, to el-Sisi, saying that the U.S. administration wants to continue close coordination with Cairo to strengthen security and stability in the Middle East.
