🔶 The first estimate of results from Germany’s state elections will be announced before 19:00

According to the announcement by the German media outlet Tagesschau, the voting period for the parliamentary elections in the states of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Berlin is nearing its end.

From 18:00 local time, the first forecast from Channel One of a German television network (ARD) is being broadcast. It is expected that the first estimate of the election results will also be released before 19:00 German time.

For the Greens and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), entering the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern may become very difficult.

According to ARD’s forecast, the Greens are only slightly above the five percent threshold of votes required to enter parliament, and BSW, based on the current situation, is standing exactly on that same boundary.

Based on the network’s first forecast for the Christian Democratic Union in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the party is recording its worst election result since the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany, and it even has to worry about being completely removed from the state parliament.
