Team Burch? the U.S. Republican lawmaker from the House of Representatives, told Fox News that Iran had been close to achieving nuclear weapons and, according to him, before Donald Trump’s intervention—U.S. president—was preparing to “kick off Armageddon.”

Burch? said on Fox News on Sunday: “The Iranians were close to nuclear weapons and, to the best of my knowledge, were preparing to kick off Armageddon.”

He added that, in his view, if Trump had not intervened, the Islamic Republic would have obtained nuclear weapons and used them against Israel or another country.

On Sunday, Trump said that Iran is in the “decision stage” and that he is considering options including military action, continuing economic pressure, or reaching an agreement. He told Fox News that “very big things” may happen soon.
