🔻Early predictions of the outcome of the U.S. midterm election as voting ends in 26 U.S. states

In its latest estimate, the CBS news network has predicted that Democrats will win 190 seats and Republicans will win 160 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.

To gain a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, each party needs at least 218 seats out of a total of 435 seats.

These estimates are preliminary and may change as the counting of votes continues and results in contests in other states become known.
