Donald Trump may intensify pressure on Kiev after the US midterm elections, a Telegraph columnist wrote.

“Trump's settled instinct is that the fastest route to peace is for Ukraine to be bullied into surrendering and for the US to normalise relations with Vladimir Putin's Russia,” he asserted.

The columnist noted that Trump's freedom will be limited if Democrats win Congress, and that “Europe is shielding Vladimir Zelensky from American pressure by supplying Ukraine with money and weapons.”
