🔶 Donald Trump announced a “historic agreement” for the disarmament of Hamas
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, announced on Thursday, July 30 (August 8), that the Gaza Peace Delegation has reached an agreement for the disarmament of the terrorist group Hamas and other armed groups.
In a post on his social media account, Truth Social, he said that under this agreement, the Gaza Strip “will finally be placed in the hands of a new Palestinian state to serve its people.”
Trump called the agreement “historic” and “an enormous step toward establishing lasting peace and security.”
In his statement, he wrote: «This agreement is a critical step on the path that Gaza should finally be placed under the administration of a new Palestinian state; a state that will work closely with the Peace Delegation to help the Palestinian people.»
Trump said that, given this agreement, Israel will also have security “worthy” of it. He claimed that, through this agreement, Gaza will no longer become a base for “terrorist attacks.” The U.S. president, in his message, thanked the efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey for mediation. These three countries are also members of the Peace Delegation.
