🔻Benjamin Mendy, former defender of the France national team and 2018 World Cup champion, sold his World Cup version at an auction for 54,000 euros.

🔹The original trophy is kept by FIFA. This trophy is an identical and official replica that FIFA and the French Football Federation presented to each World Cup-winning player as a personal memento.

🔹The auction, titled “Global Football Auction Part 2,” was held by the American auction house “Goldin” (specializing in sports collectibles).

🔹Although the trophy had damage, including cracks at the base and signs of wear, it ultimately sold for a price close to 54,000 euros. The buyer of the trophy also received a certificate of authenticity bearing Mendy’s signature; a player who has appeared for prominent clubs such as Marseille, Monaco, and Manchester City.

🔹Mendy, who has been playing ball for the Polish club “Pogon Szczecin” since September 2025 and has recently extended his contract with this team for another year, has 10 international caps.
