Danny Danon, Israel’s representative to the United Nations, warned that if the Islamic Republic attacks Israel again, this country will not wait for coordination with any other country and will respond with force.

Danon said that Israel has close cooperation and coordination with the United States and respects the leadership of Donald Trump, the U.S. president, but if the Islamic Republic attacks again, it will not wait for a military response.

He added that any solution regarding the Islamic Republic must prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear capabilities, continuing ballistic missile threats, and financing proxy forces. According to Danon, these goals can be pursued through negotiations, economic sanctions, or military action.

Referring to developments in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb, Danon said that the Islamic Republic’s actions and its proxy forces do not affect only Israel, and that disruption of strategic shipping lanes harms the global economy.

He also said that Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, despite his busy schedule, will travel to New York for a short trip and will speak at the United Nations General Assembly.
