🔶 Corruption cases; “Settling more than 20,000 cases with a total of 94 billion euros”

ذبیح‌الله خداییان, the head of Iran’s General Inspection Organization, said that a special judicial panel has been formed to handle extraordinary cases of currency-related corruption and to settle the status of more than 20,000 natural and legal persons, with a total of 94 billion euros in unfulfilled currency commitments. According to him, with the entry of the judiciary so far, the status of about 20 billion euros has been determined, and the cases of violators are being sent to judicial and quasi-judicial bodies in three categories: major, medium, and minor debtors.

The head of the inspection organization, while disclosing new dimensions of abuses in the process of circumventing sanctions and foreign trade, said there were “betrayals by some front companies,” and announced that, in one example alone, a front company, by abusing its position, had failed to return 200 million dollars of the country’s currency assets and had left Iran.
