🔻CENTCOM says it has ended Thursday morning attacks on Iran
🔻The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said it has brought its attacks that began on Thursday morning—which were in response to Iran’s missile attacks the previous day against U.S. forces in Jordan—to an end at around 5:00 a.m. Iran time.
According to the CENTCOM statement, during these attacks positions belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense centers, and naval capabilities, were targeted in Iran.
CENTCOM says the purpose of these attacks was to reduce further threats from Iran and its proxy forces against U.S. forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf region.
However, local Qeshm officials said early Thursday that a house on the island was hit, with at least three residents, and they released images of efforts by rescue forces to save people trapped under the rubble.
